Jimmy Mizen was a 16 year old boy who was beaten to death by a youth wielding a metal pole. It happened in a bakery in Lee Green, SE London on 10th May 2008. Jimmy had only celebrated his 16th birthday the day before.
Thinking of You
Darling Jimmy,
Thought of you on your 18th and then yesterday on the 2nd anniversary of your passing, Still filled with sadness as the young continue to die on our streets. Our prayers for peace are on going, Your family are amazing in their spirit to try and see a positive outcome to all this grief. Why is nothing changing? All we hear are more deaths and heartbroken families left behind. My thoughts are with all those suffering, My prayers hopefully will be answered. Perhaps one day there will be peace on Earth, meanwhile, watch over your family, give them strenghth to keep things together, You are not forgotten,
God Bless

You and your family and friends are in our thoughts and prayers today, tomorrow and always. Today is a celebration of your birth and the life you had, However short that may have been You certainly made an impact! I know you are safe in God's keeping, I hope he gives your family and friends the strength and support to see them through difficult times. I stand united with them in the hope for a better world for everyone with less anger and violence. I have only known you through death and how you have touched my heart! By leaving this tribute I want your loved ones to know that people still think of you, I hope they feel the love sent in our thoughts and prayers.
Happy Birthday Jimmy wherever you may be, May your loved ones feel your spirit, laugh through their tears and celebrate the joy of having had you in their lives.
God Bless you sweetheart,
You will always be in my thoughts.
WE MUST ALL LEARN TO CONTROL ANGER!
You must've heard about the tragic death of Jimmy Mizen.
Thankfully, his killer is now locked up for life in prison!
Jimmy just innocently went to the local shop - a sausage roll to buy,
and so he did not expect to die!
On that fateful date -
into his neck was hurled a plate.
It severed an artery, so that to death he sadly bled!
What on earth was going on in the killer's head?
Well, Jimmy's father
blames misdirected anger!
He went on to say:
"But it doesn't have to be this way!"
My friend reckons they should bring back national service.
Alternatively, engaging in outdoor pursuits would be my advise;
as this really sorts the men out from the boys!
For example: whilst at school -instead of playing with toys-
several of us tried canoeing,
which had one school bully actually crying!
He wasn't so big and tough after that.
In fact he became rather a sheepish brat!
after being defeated by the challenge of canoeing-
never again on anyone was he found picking!
Battling against the forces of nature-
helps everyone to mature!
I hope this poem brings tears to your eyes-
so that you will now realise:
if we can avoid ever getting angry-
it will lead to a friendlier and better society!
Now, in pain- Jimmy did not moan,
as he did not die alone.
Instead, he was held in the arms of his brother,
which will bring some comfort to his mother.
Although, if to be gentle and kind ourselves we could train,
then, like Jesus- little Jimmy did not die in vain!
Thinking of you

You are still in the thoughts and prayers of Family, friends and strangers like me. I donated to your fund last week and wear my badges with pride, But, How I wish you were here instead. You were a blessing to your family just as they are a blessing to you. Watch over them all.

GODBLESS YOU,LOVE JOANNE.XXXX(CAROLE&HARRY WALKER,ANGELA HUDDART)
May the angels keep you till morning.
May they guide you through the night.
May they comfort all your sorrows.
May they help you win the fight.
May they keep watch on your soul.
May they show you better ways.
May they guard you while you're sleeping.
May they see you through your days.
May they show you new hopes.
May they still your every doubt.
May they calm your every fear.
May they hear you when you shout.
May the angels keep you till morning.
More than this I cannot pray.
And if the angels ever fail you,
Then may God be there that day.
Stay Strong
Don't think of him as gone away
his journey's just begun,
life holds so many facets
this earth is only one.
Just think of him as resting
from the sorrows and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years.
Think how he must be wishing
that we could know today
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.
And think of him as living
in the hearts of those he touched...
for nothing loved is ever lost
and he was loved so much.
